The best Sommeliers of Europe Take centre stage at the Champs Elysées Theatre, Paris, for the "Trophée Ruinart"
For the first time in the history of international sommellerie, the Trophée RUINART du Meilleur Sommelier d’Europe, will be hosted in the majestic Champ Elysees Theatre in Paris on 18th June. This exceptional event will be held from 2 to 6.30pm, followed by a cocktail and prize giving from 7 to 8 pm.
Entrance fees: 30 Euros. Student fees: 15 Euros
About the Trophée RUINART…
For more than 25 years, RUINART has supported the international sommellerie.
The Trophées RUINART are organised to elevate the best professionnals within the trade. Initially only a national French competition, the trophy became international in 1986.
Since it’s creation in 1979, the competition has maintained a deep-rooted respect and admiration for the spirit and ethics of the sommelier profession.
The Development of wine waiter function
Today the trophy is a "must" as it reunites the elite of the sommelier world. Since 1998, 12,000 candidates have participated in the various levels of the competition, which gave rise to 1070 national awards, 9 European and 1 American. RUINART now has an extensive network of prescriptors within the gastronomy and specialised retail sectors, supported by the professional press, discerning public and opinion leaders.
The European RUINART Trophy once again confirms Ruinart's commitment to the development and recognition of the sommellier profession.
