Terlato, Chapoutier release first wines from Australian

Anthony Terlato, head of The Terlato Wine Group, and French vintner Michel Chapoutier have announced the release of the inaugural wines from their Australian joint venture, Domaine Terlato & Chapoutier.

The alliance between the two winemakers has delivered the single-vineyard 2004 Domaine Terlato & Chapoutier Shiraz lieu dit Malakoff, and the 2004 Domaine Terlato & Chapoutier Shiraz-Viognier.

Associates and friends for nearly two decades, Messrs Terlato and Chapoutier began their Australian joint venture in 1998 after Mr Chapoutier discovered a "remarkable" vineyard in a relatively remote region of Australia.
