Italian talking wine label to debut in autumn

The latest innovation in wine technology, the "talking" label, is slated to make its debut this autumn in Italy, Italian News Agency ANSA said on Tuesday.
The introduction of talking label is the brainchild of Daniele Barontini, whose company Modulgraf designs labels for the leading producers of Brunello and other top flight Tuscan wines.
The new label, which has already attracted the interest of leading wine producers, can be listened to through a small reader, similar in size to a walkman CD player.
The label's speaker informs the potential consumer of the wine's vintage, the history of the wine, its method of production, the area where the grapes were grown and can even suggest the best ways to fully appreciate the wine.
